5 Ways to Boost Your Waffles

Pimp healthy Ways To Boost Your Waffles

Some of the examples are pretty standard like adding fruit or going whole grain, but the reminder never hurts. I love waffles, so it's nice to get a few extra perks out of the generally sweet breakfast treat.

Interesting. Do you soak them first or anything? Does it change the texture of the pancakes a lot?

i don't make them very often, but I do own a waffle iron. When I do I use whole-wheat flour and put fruit in them, like blueberries or raisins. And always serve with strawberries. It's my thing. Frankly, they're a lot healthier that way than a bowl of breakfast cereal. Though, not as good as a bowl of oatmeal. I hadn't thought of making waffles with oats though. I'll have to look up some recipes...

Thanks for the share! I think it is great when you can find a few ways to be able to pump up something that is usually pretty boring. Not only does it make it better, but it is even better when it makes it healthy. Thanks again!

There are so many choices of waffle fillings being sold here.
We could choose those seems to be healthier waffles like filled with fruits. Examples are pineapple waffles that tastes so good and also affordable. If we could choose healthier option on foods, the better.

Well, I am not that into waffles and though I can eat them they don't attract my attention and imagination. It is nice to read tips on how to make a waffle healthier by adding more beneficial foods to the concoction. I understand that there are so many people who are waffleholic so they should read this article for them to find out to make what they are eating a good source of nutrition.

I always eat the plain waffle with maple syrup, I've never experimented with other things to put in my waffle. I always eat it with my ice cream and I'm starting to bore at the taste.

Well my favorite on the article was slide number 5 where they add fruit puree. Yum !

the best way to "boost" your waffles is to throw them in the garbage can and eat something else.......

Disgusting! You eat that sugary swill for breakfast? I thought in another thread you claimed to be a health nut?

Well my favorite on the article was slide number 5 where they add fruit puree. Yum !
Fruit puree? So we're taking a food loaded with sugar and adding more pure sugar to it. How is this healthy?
