I learned about this while out hiking the Appalachian Trail. It really helps prevent dehydration and that in turn will help your energy a lot. The little packets are light, perfect for tucking away in the backpack. Back at home, some days I just don't feel very great. Like no motivation. I keep Emergen-C on hand for this reason. I drink all but about 5 oz of a bottle of cold water and mix one packet into the remaining 5 oz. Usually within 5 minutes I am feeling like getting some things done. I think our bodies just lose electrolytes over time. It's really good in the heat too.
