Flaxseed is well, flaxseed. You usually grind it and then add it to foods. Keep it in the frig cause it can and does go bad. Ground flax seed is very good for you and can be added in small quantities to almost anything. I add it to my morning smoothie for my omegas. Flaxseed oil is just like flax seed but its an oil. it also needs to be refrigerated. and of course you don't have to grind it to add it to food.
