PHILADELPHIA - Police in suburban Philadelphia responded Monday morning to shooting incidents in multiple locations, a spokesperson confirmed to CBS Radio.

A suspect is being sought.

Police told CBS Philadelphia they received a report of shots fired inside a home in Lansdale just before 4:30am. A SWAT team responded to the scene.

Authorities said one person there had been shot.

There is no word yet on the extent of the victim's injuries.

The Souderton School District in Montgomery County is under a "shelter in place" order.

According to officials, schools are operating on standby with limited visitors allowed in and out.

The shelter in place order comes after police activity was reported nearby.

Multiple local reports indicate there were at least three total shootings in Montgomery County early Monday, although it is unclear yet whether they were related.
