    Flavored water packets

i have become very fond of those sleeves of flavoring for bottled/tap water that are on the market. I find many brands and flavors- many at very reasonable costs. They can make getting enough water during the day a bit more interesting. Some have been infused with vitamins, which makes it a good choice in beverages.

a good choice for a beverage if:

    1) it is not loaded with sugar
    2) you are choosing over a sugary beverage...water is always the best option

ever tried Mio? a lot of people in the office are trying it lately:

I had seen some flavored water and with vitamin water on a super market here. But never tried or feel tempted to buy one since I think that portable water alone is already good for our body. We just need to keep ourselves hydrated enough and able to bring with us portable water if ever it would not be available on a place where we will be going.

i like the taste of these flavored water packets but usually try to avoid them because most of them have artificial sweeteners in them. Never tried any of the vitamin water packets. I really like the Crystal Light ones especially the lemonade flavor.

I wasnt even aware that vitamin water made favored water packets. if you absolutely must have a flavored water packet, I would probably recommend Crystal Light as one of the most health conscious choices...although the flavor gets old really fast.

I stopped drinking flavored or any kind of "boosted" water long ago because it just has stuff in it you don't need and water itself is so important and healthy.

That said, I flavor my own water at home. I got the idea a few years ago at a high-end restaurant I went to with friends. They left a pitcher of ice water on the table with a large sprig of fresh rosemary in it. It added a subtle and refreshing flavor. I make pitchers of ice water and keep in the fridge now with all sorts of stuff. Slices of lemon or lime or oranges, plus herbs. I like combining flavors, like oranges and rosemary or lemons and basil. Adds just enough flavor to keep it interesting without calories or fat or sugar.

i have seen individual serving flavor packets for everything from Arnold Palmer Tea to Crystal Light. I personally am quite fond of Crystal Light because it does not have sugar. my 80 year old neighbor loves to flavor her bottled water. She has even tried the type that is available in an eyedrop like dispenser. It looks like food coloring. Not all of them are loaded with sugar. You just have to read the ingredients.

the best tasting flavored water to me is simply filtered, cold water with a few drops of lemon juice in it.
