Not personally. Man it would be awful using steroids as a female lol. I mean, it's not good for males either but females start looking so gross.
There are very mild steroids that are made for women and children that have very few side effects. There are many female fitness models that are known to take these steroids and most of them do not end up looking like men.
the reasons why women takes steroids are:
Constantly examining themselves in a mirror
Becoming distressed if they miss a workout session or one of six meals a day
Becoming distressed if they do not receive enough protein per day in their diet
Taking potentially dangerous anabolic steroids
Neglecting jobs, relationships, or family because of excessive exercising
Having delusions of being underweight or below average in musculature
i found a site that explains really well this situation -> link
Of course the female body does not need other amounts of steroids, and there could be negative side effects! physical, behavioural and physioulogical!
Bodybuilders women take steroids, and they are under control of their training team, but there could be problems. Hope this helps!
Why did you post this picture along with your comment? Did you mean to suggest that this athlete was using some sort of drug?women athletes may use it widely but mostly the women who have skin allergy that comes after maternity use the steroids when the standard medicines do not work. The women do damage their ovaries and eggs system with steroids that is proved, they also lose their breast curves and the milk generating system.
Lots of female athletes take steroids...probably nearly as many as men. Steroids are common and rampant in all professional sports because we the fans want to see better and better performance. Thus, all athletes who take steroids try to outperform our expectations for the sake of a paycheck and supporting their families.
As a man, I can only guess that the feminine hormones are affected during their ordeal and the metabolism takes a hit and is affected that will show on the faces of people taking medicines. With more masculine features, like hair appearance nad broader jaws, a once beautiful woman may suddenly turn into a very masculine looking drag queen.
Well yeah...over years of steroid abuse will lower a woman's natural estrogen production and amplify synthetic testosterone production to lower her voice, enlarge her genitals, etc...it is quite the unpleasant picture I know, but it happens to a lot of women.
As someone said above, every woman who competes needs to take steroids in order to count in the contest, they don't have as much testosterone as we do, so they can't build muscles unless they take steroids. If you ask me, this shouldn't happen, women should stop at the fitness level and don't ever get involved in bodybuilding. I've seen recently a photo of some girl, who use to be pretty, she took steroids, competed, after 20 years she grew beard and looks more like a man than a woman, is it really worth it?
